PARENTMEDIC BABY & CHILD FIRST AID PROGRAM

9:30AM
$40

Have you ever wondered if you would know what to do if your baby was choking? Join Lara, a paediatric doctor  and fellow mum, and learn education in baby & child first aid, including CPR, Choking, Head Injuries, Fevers, Febrile Convulsions, Allergies & Anaphylaxis, Poisons and MORE... in a FUN and memorable way.

We are able to offer this session at the SPECIAL PRICE of $40pp, minimum 6 people, so encourage your friends / family to come along for a fun and memorable baby & child first aid course in a great setting.

From 9.30-10am, a free ‘social’ slot for parents (and parents-to-be) and bubs / kids will be held. Come along and meet other parents (and Lara!), talk things babies (or not!) and make some new connections. This is a great chance for any new parents, especially those who have not been able to get into their parents group (those lists are long!).

Following on from the 30 minute ‘meet & greet’ the Parentmedic Baby & Child First Aid session will run from 10-12pm – all are welcome, the more the merrier, and best of all, it's baby and child friendly, so bring them along.

This session was run in May, and sold out within weeks, so don’t miss out!

POCKET CITY FARMS WORKSHOPS

Pocket City Farms is a productive hub the local community can gather to learn about all things farming and food growing, buy local produce grown with organic principles, participate in the volunteer program, and take part in many workshops and events.

In the surrounds of their productive green space in the city Pocket City Farms run regular workshops across a range of sustainable lifestyle topics from growing food in small spaces to native stingless beekeeping, and wooden spoon carving to natural indigo dyeing.

They hold monthly crop swaps with Crop Swap Sydney for trading home harvests, as well as weekly volunteer sessions enabling you to dig your hands in the soil and learn food growing skills direct from the farmer. Meanwhile you can also take a yoga class outdoors overlooking the farm, or bring the kids along for a Little Farmers session.

The produce from their ecological market garden is available each week at the Pocket City Farm Store, along with other goods from local producers, including organic sourdough and local tea.
